New member of the fire department family. Firefighter Matthew Corbett and wife Heather had a baby girl Kathryn Julianna Corbett borned Aug. 20, 2017. She is also the grand daughter of Chief Corbett.

1) Firefighters was requested to respond to HWY 3086 near US 23 where a glass table top had fallen into the roadway and left. Firefighters swept and cleared the glass from the roadway.2) Motor assist near the Pike County Line on US 23.

Units responded to an automatic aid call with Neon Fire Dept to HWY 805 in Cromona. On arrival firefighters assisted with an interior attack and ventilation. Fire was extinguished quickly and firefighters overhauled the structure.

1) Cancelled EMS call to Hardees2) 2 Vehicle accident on RT 3409. Rescue responded and did traffic control at the bottom of Dunham side until vehicles were removed. One firefighter and police and EMS went to scene .

After a strong storm went through the area, the entire city was out of power. Firefighters were called to Oak Street to assist an elderly female.

Unit 21 responded to the Amphitheater Road for a one vehicle accident with no injuries. On arrival firefighters found vehicle in ditch. Truck 21 was utilized to pull vehicle out of the ditch.

Someone stopped at the firehouse and said there was a vehicle on it's side on US 23. Police notified and fire units responded and found the vehicle. Driver had exited the vehicle and no injuries. Fire units remained on scene for traffic control until vehicle was removed.

Alarm activated on Pine Lane. Engine 20 responded and checked residence using a thermal imaging camera. Everything was OK and unit returned to station.

Firefighters were called to a one vehicle accident on top on US 119 near Fishpond. EMS and fire units arrived. Firefighters assisted EMS and traffic control. When vehicle was turned upright, firefighters placed oil dry on spill.

Units called during early morning on a very rainy day, firefighters responded to a possible structure fire. On arrival it was seen that a power line had caught a tree on fire. Call came in as brush fire near old call center on HWY 805. Caller also advised heard an explosion. Units responded and found a pile of brush on fire near a fenced area. Firefighters pulled a line from Engine 20 and extinguished the fire.
