Called in the early morning hours to a vehicle fire on High Street. On arrival firefighters had 2 vehicles on fire. An attack line was pulled from E20 to extinguish the fire.

Called to a vehicle accident on US 119. On arrival firefighters found the driver out and no injuries. The vehicle had knocked over a light pole.

New member of the fire department family. Firefighter Matthew Corbett and wife Heather had a baby girl Kathryn Julianna Corbett borned Aug. 20, 2017. She is also the grand daughter of Chief Corbett.

Engine 20 and Ladder 27 responded to Mountain Breeze Apartments. On arrival firefighters made enterance to apartment. Firefighters searched apartment and found no sign of a fire. It appeared grease on the stove may had smoked the apartment to cause the alarm.

Firefighters responded to HWY 805 to a vehicle accident. A vehicle went off the roadway and hit a parked van. Occupants were checked and EMS was called to scene, Firefighters assisted with traffic control and contained leaks from the vehicles.

Firefighters responded to a 2 vehicle accident on HWY 805 across from Store Hill. EMS was paged earlier and on seen. Firefighters assisted EMS and traffic control and removed debree from the roadway. Firefighters remained on scene until vehicles were removed.

Semi overturned at the junction of US 23 and US 119. Firefighters were requested by the police department to assist with traffic control. Firefighters remained on scene until vehicle was removed.

Firefighters responded to a brush fire on Crown Hill. On arrival firefighters utilized a deck gun from Engine 9 to extinguish the fire around the structure. Firefighters then utilized hand tools to extinguish the fire on the hillside.

1) Early morning firefighters were awaken to an automatic aid fire in Neon at the old Library. Ladder 27 and 22 responded. Ladder 27 was used for an aerial extinguishment while firefighters were used to check the interior of the next door building and exposure work.

Early morning fire in Marshals Branch brought Jenkins and automatic aid from Neon Fire Dept. On arrival, one structure was fully involved and a garage had one fire on one side and the back hillside on fire.

Police requested fire units to assist with traffic control on US 23 on mountain. Snow had made road slippery and several vehicles had went side ways and became stuck. Road was closed until the state highway arrived with salt trucks.
