New member of the fire department family. Firefighter Matthew Corbett and wife Heather had a baby girl Kathryn Julianna Corbett borned Aug. 20, 2017. She is also the grand daughter of Chief Corbett.

Firefighters responded to Camden area for a brush fire. On arrival Engine 20's deck gun was used to quickly extinguish most of the fire. Firefighters climbed hillside and utilized shovels to extinguish the remaining fire.

Engine 20 and Ladder 27 responded to Mountain Breeze Apartments. On arrival firefighters made enterance to apartment. Firefighters searched apartment and found no sign of a fire. It appeared grease on the stove may had smoked the apartment to cause the alarm.

Firefighters responded to HWY 805 to a vehicle accident. A vehicle went off the roadway and hit a parked van. Occupants were checked and EMS was called to scene, Firefighters assisted with traffic control and contained leaks from the vehicles.
