Called in the early morning hours to a vehicle fire on High Street. On arrival firefighters had 2 vehicles on fire. An attack line was pulled from E20 to extinguish the fire.

Called to a vehicle accident on US 119. On arrival firefighters found the driver out and no injuries. The vehicle had knocked over a light pole.

New member of the fire department family. Firefighter Matthew Corbett and wife Heather had a baby girl Kathryn Julianna Corbett borned Aug. 20, 2017. She is also the grand daughter of Chief Corbett.

Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on Jenkins Mountain on US 23. On arrival the fire had been extinguished. Firefighters checked for further fire but no fire extension was found.

1) Firefighters were paged to HWY 343 in McRoberts to a forest fire. Before going enroute, firefighters checked with dispatch again on location. It was confirmed that the fire was in Neon Fire Dept response area and dispatch cancelled Jenkins.

Firefighters responded during late night to the Gateway Industrial Park in reference to a fuel smell/ Firefighters checked the area including Payne Gap area for the gas smell. EQT was notified and responded .

Although Spring is here, winter wanted everyone to know it hadn't gone for good. Highways became icy and many accidents occurred on US 23 in the mountain before highway department could salt the roadway.

1) Firefighters responded to Wrights Circle to an EMS call. After arrival, resident refused treatment or transport. 2) Firefighters responded to a late EMS call in Wrights Circle. Firefighters obtained history and monitored the patient until EMS arrived for transport.

Fire Units responded to a two vehicle accident near the Pike/Letcher Line on US 23. On arrival the driver of the car was checked and refused further treatment. Firefighters found a heavy stream of diesel fuel flowing down the side of the highway.

Firefighters responded to a house fire in B&O Hill. On arrival firefighters were met with the resident who stated it had been an electrical fire and everything was OK. Firefighters offered to check the structure but the resident was sure everything was OK.
