Alarm sounding in Number One Hill. On arrival firefighters were met and told someone was cooking and alarm sounded.

Units responded to a motorcycle accident with injuries in Wyatt Hollow. On arrival firefighters aided the patient and then assisted loading the patient. Rescue was utilized for lighting.

Engine 20 and 9 responded to Straight Row for an alarm sounding. Firefighters made a walk through. A thermal Imaging Camera utilized. Nothing found and units returned to station.

New member of the fire department family. Firefighter Matthew Corbett and wife Heather had a baby girl Kathryn Julianna Corbett borned Aug. 20, 2017. She is also the grand daughter of Chief Corbett.

1) Firefighters responded to Mountain Breeze to a motor assist. 2) Firefighters responded to an alarm activation on Elm Street. On arrival firefighters found everything was OK. Owner met the firefighters in front of the house and stated alarm malfunctioned.

Firefighters were called to a vehicle accident near Fishpond on US 119. Firefighters were told the car was smoking. On arrival EMS had the driver and the smoke had stopped. The vehicle had hit a bear. The driver was ok.

Firefighters were requested to assist with traffic control on US 23 on the mountain. Winter weather had occurred and the snow plow had got stuck. Roadway was closed for a short time until the truck could move.

The police was on a complaint when dispatch notified them of birds were found on HWY 805 and US 23. Firefighters responded to the call to check the call for police. It was found birds were on roadway from Lakeside Drive to HWY 805 and US 23.

1) Early morning house fire in Goose Creek in Neon began the day. Engine 20 and a crew responded to assist Neon Fire Dept. Firefighters assisted in extinguishment of the blaze. 2) Afternoon the firefighters were paged to Freedom Lane to a truck that had fuel leaking.

1) Firefighters were paged to US 23 on the mountain to a possible wreck. Due to the weather one firefighter went to check the highway for the wreck while firefighters stoodby at station with units ready to respond.

Firefighters were paged to a possible shooting. On arrival the scene was securred and police had one in custody. Firefighters assisted police in searching for shells in the yard while EMS attended to a patient with minor injuries.
