1) Person called in and advised firefighters of a brush fire near the Horseshoe Curve on HWY 805. Engine 20 responded and quickly extinguish the lower fire with a deck gun. Forestry had arrived and began extinguishing the fire on the upper hillside.

A 200 lb dog had broke a bone and couldn't move. Captain Damron got a backboard and assisted the dog's owner in moving the dog to a vehicle to take it to the vet. The Damron family has made several dog rescues in the past few years.
