Called in the early morning hours to a vehicle fire on High Street. On arrival firefighters had 2 vehicles on fire. An attack line was pulled from E20 to extinguish the fire.

Called to a vehicle accident on US 119. On arrival firefighters found the driver out and no injuries. The vehicle had knocked over a light pole.

New member of the fire department family. Firefighter Matthew Corbett and wife Heather had a baby girl Kathryn Julianna Corbett borned Aug. 20, 2017. She is also the grand daughter of Chief Corbett.

1)Firefighters responded to assist a female in being lifted into bed after falling. 2) Firefighters responded to a brush fire on Dunham Mountain. The fire was quickly extinguished.

1) Firefighters were paged to the three bedroom apartments at Mountain Breeze to a fire. On arrival no fire was visable so firefighters checked the apartment using a thermal imaging camera. No fire was found.

Alarm sounded at the Burdine School. Students were evacuated while firefighters checked the building. Nothing was found.

1) Firefighters responded to Rocky Hollow to an electricial fire. Firefighters investigated and found a wire was shorting. Firefighters turned the power off in the area of the house. No further procedures were needed.

Firefighters were called in the early morning hours to the one bedroom apartments at Mountain Breeze. Police Officer arrived and advised of entrapment. On arrival there was heavy flames in two apartments.

Firefighters responded to Anderson Street to check on power line down and tree down. Police had checked on line down on Goodwater Street. On arrival firefighters found the tree had pulled the line and pole was bent.

Firefighters were paged to a vehicle wreck with injuries on US 23 near the state line. On arrival a tractor trailer had wrecked and leaking fluids. Firefighters contained the spill and assisted with traffic control until truck was moved.

Firefighters responded to assist a male into his bed from wheelchair. Firefighters called to a possible brush fire on Profitt Road. Firefighters checked the area but no fire. Someone had been burning brush earlier in the evening.

Firefighters were paged to Dotty Lane to an alarm activated. On arrival it was found everything was alright and units were cancelled. The alarm had malfuntioned. Firefighters were paged to an alarm on Oak Street.

Responded to a possible EMS call at Mountain Breeze Apartments. On arrival the call was a false alarm.
Firefighters responded on Highway near McPeeks Branch to a one vehicle accident with extrication needed. On arrival firefighters checked the driver and securred the vehicle . Firefighters extricated the driver.

Firefighters responded to an EMS call in the Burdine Area. On arrival Firefighters assisted EMS in checking the patient and loading the patient for transport.

Responded to Fishpond Lake to an ATV accident on a trail. Patient was brought to the fire and EMS crews waiting at the beginning of the trail. Another ATV had brought the injuried driver out. Patient was checked and loaded in the ambulance and transported to the hospital.

Engine 9 was used to wash down dust from a business. Dust had came from some construction in front of the business.

1) Firefighters responded to a brush fire on US 23. On arrival firefighters had two separate fires. Engine 20 front line was pulled and extinguished first fire, then firefighters moved engine up the highway and quickly extinguished the second fire.
