Firefighters responded to a possible house fire on Lakeside Drive. On arrival it was found the dryer belt broke causing the smoke. Firefighters checked the area but nothing else was found.

Firefighters were dispatched to child locked in car on Bentley Loop. The Letcher County Sheriffs Office was already on the scene and got the door opened. Firefighters were cancelled.

1) Firefighter assisted male into wheelchair after falling. 2) Firefighters were paged to a structure fire in Neon in the early morning hours. Engine 20 was cancelled prior to leaving the station.

After heavy rains, trees had fallen on HWY 805 at the Horseshoe Curve. Firefighters used a chain saw to remove the trees from roadway. 2) Firefighters assisted Neon EMS in moving and loading a patient.

1) Firefighters responded to an automatic aid call of a structure fire in Jackhorn. Firefighters assisted with extinguishment of the fire and Engine 20 pumped water to Neon. 2) While at the fire, firefighters were paged to McRoberts to a fuell smell on HWY 3049.

Firefighters were paged out in the early moring to a structure fire at Kona. Jenkins responded automatic aid to Neon Fire Dept. Mayking Fire Department was paged out also but was cancelled before going in route.

1) Firefighters assisted in traffic control on HWY 805 when a vehicle went into a ditch. One firefighter used his POV to pull the vehicle out of the ditch to clear the roadway. 2) Firefighters assisted a motorist on US 23 that had ran out of gas.

Firefighters responded to Jenkins Lake to an EMS call. Firefighers checked the patient and obtained history and prepared the patient for transport by EMS.
Vehicle Fire

Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on US 23 near HWY 805 Exit. On arrival firefighters pulled the front hose line from Engine 20 and quickly extinguished the fire that had totally engulfed the vehicle.
