New member of the fire department family. Firefighter Matthew Corbett and wife Heather had a baby girl Kathryn Julianna Corbett borned Aug. 20, 2017. She is also the grand daughter of Chief Corbett.

House fire in Wheaton Hollow. On arrival heavy smoke found. Firefighters entered the house using the front door. Firefighters found the fire in the back bedroom. Fire was quickly contained and extinguished.

Firefighters responded to Wheaton Hollow to an emergency medical call. On arrival patient was checked and firefighters remained with patient until Neon EMS arrived.

Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire on US 23 near Joes Branch. On arrival, front of the vehicle was fully involved. Firefighters used two attack lines to extinguish the fire. The passenger burned his hands when he attempted to open the hood but did not need further treatment.

Fire Dept was notified of a fire on Dunham Mountain near road. Firefighters investigated and found smoldering objects from the fire night before. No new fire was found. Fire Dept notified to assist Neon EMS but police arrived and the fire dept was cancelled.

Firefighters responded to Dunham Mountain to a forest fire. On arrival, firefighters found the forestry service was working the fire and had it under control. Firefighters paged later in evening that fire was close to the gas wells.

Fire Dept notified of a forest fire getting near residence in Mountain Breeze. A police officer who is also a firefighter had been watching the fire and responded in crusier to check the call. No residence were in danger and the KY Division of Forestry had responded earlier and contained the fire.

Firefighters were called to possible house fire on Schoolcraft Drive in the early hours of morning. Units arrived and searched the house utilizing a thermal imaging camera. No fire was found. Firefighters remained on scene for about one hour searching for the scource.
