Electrical wiring caused an early morning fire on Slate Hill. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and removed the smoke. Neon Fire Department responded as well on the automatic aid. Residents were alerted of the fire by the smoke detectors.

Firefighters responded from the station to a one vehicle accident on US 23/805 junction. Vehicle on its side and firefighters assisted driver out by using a ladder. Accident was due to a heavy storm that passed through shortly before.
