1) Firefighters were called to Bentley Loop for a brush fire. Engine 9 arrived ad pulled a hose line up hillside and quickly contained the fire. Engine 20 responded above the fire and extinguished the remaining fire.2)Firefighters were called to a brush fire on HWY 3409.
1) Motor assist on B&O Hill.2) EMS requested assistance on Cove Street. On arrival firefighters assisted EMS with moving patient as well as assisting with aid in transport.
Engine 20 responded to a brush fire in Webb Branch. On arrival forestry was on scene. Forestry requested firefighters to utilize hose lines to extinguish hot spots.
Engine 20 responded in the early hours to a store fire in Neon. Firefighters assisted with interior and exterior attacks on the fire. One firefighter was injured when the roof collapsed with him on it. Firefighter was treated and released.
1) Firefighters were called in the early hours for an alarm sounding at the Jenkins High School Apartments. On arrival firefighters checked the building and found a neighbors alarm clock was sounding and frightened the neighbor.
Neighbor heard a dog howling and went to investigate. A dog was found in between pool line and side of pool. The pool had been vacant for several years. Firefighter went into the pool area and pulled 2 dogs out of the pool liner.
Firefighters responded to the Public Library for the sprinkler pipe was leaking water to the floor way. Firefighters shut off the sprinkles and notified company and alarm company of the situation. The sprinkler company responded.
1) A pickup hit a car and caused a tractor trailer to jack knife. The fuel tank was hit and diesel began to leak. Firefighters arrived and placed booms and pads on roadway. The truck was told to move to the turnoff to allow the fuel to be more level.
Firefighters responded to the Gateway Industrial Park to assist EMS with loading a patient.2) Firefighters responded to a Number 4 Hollow to smell of smoke. Firefighters utilized the thermal imaging camera to check the structure and nothing found.
Firefighters responded to a one vehicle accident on US 119. On arrival the vehicle was on its top in the highway. Firefighters checked for injuries and assisted with traffic control until the vehicle was removed.2) Firefighters were called to HWY 805 for a tree in roadway.
